This post is belated, but as I was wandering around Brady Street last night, which is a hip place to be on Milwaukee's East Side, I just didn't know which bars to go to or which ones were cool and all I could think about was how much I wished I was at the Tap with Jeremy and familiar friends. I still have my little notebook with several quotes that never made it to this page, so here they are.

"The quiz of the night is you have to guess which tub of sauce I did NOT dip my tongue into." -Jeremy

"He knows we love him!" -Lindsay

"He must have found the blog!" -Mike

"Sorry about the 'tongue in the whatever' joke." -Jeremy

"I like how Jeremy just said, 'Sorry about the 'tongue in the whatever'." -Lindsay

"I like how the bathroom is just clean enough so that it doesn't creep me out but just dirty enough so I think, 'I belong here.'" -Jana

"So, do you actually knead the dough?" -Jeremy

"No, I just put the muffins on the rack." -Lindsay

"There's this man who works there, kind of a perverted old man, but in a good way, you know." -Jeremy

And from the previous week:

"A big smile... I was like, What's Lindsay going to say?" -Jana

"What do you think I am!?" -Lindsay

"Sorry, Passed-Out-Naked Girl." -Jana

TAT, I miss you and I will love you forever.

la la la. a big thank you for a wonderful few months of tap after taping. or just tapping, in general. my life has been infinitely better because of it. tonight was everyting a last hurrah tap should be---lindsay, mike, flan and i drinking beer and laughing hysterically and eating wings and fries and listening to good tunes (carly simon and jimmy buffet. also, better than ezra. it WAS good living with you oh-oh). soooo wonderful. you should note i'm not sleeping on jeremy's couch, as much as i would have liked to accept that offer. love to all--including paul, who was apparently working at office max, and evan who is currently in massachusetts or something like that;). night night...

An abbreviated TAT last night, because we were all headed to the choir progressive. We were short Flannery, who was throwing a bridal shower for Kathleen, but the rest of the core members were there. Jeremy was there, wearing his Earth Shoes (though he doesn't wear them every day). Wings are the best thing ever, especially when combined with beer. Lindsay traded a big smile for a salt shaker (more on that in Lindsay's post, I'm sure). Evan claimed that he wasn't drunk enough to sing U2 into a ketchup bottle, but I disagree. I believe that Evan will always sing U2 into a ketchup bottle, if that is the only microphone substitute available.

Well, I think that it's appropriate to post here, even though there was no Tape, and also no Jeremey. It was abbreviated and in the middle of a basketball game, but it was good just to be out with everyone again. In every way possible, the Tap with y'all is a necessary thing to survival.
